Question
What do I have to do to authorize my plug-in without using an internet connection?
Answer
Step 1
Send an email with a request for an authorization code to support@woodwing.com including:
- Your WoodWing product serial number
- Your InDesign serial number
- The platform (Macintosh or Windows) you are using
Step 2
After receiving an email back from WoodWing Support, you should perform the following steps:
1. Go to the "About WoodWing plug-ins" dialog. (You can find this dialog by selecting the "InDesign - About WoodWing Software" menu (Macintosh) or "Help - About WoodWing Software" menu (Windows)).
2. Select the right plug-in from the list and click the 'Activate' (CS2) or 'Authorize' (CS) button.
3. In the first window check the box that reads "I don't have access to the Internet...." and click 'Next'.
4. Click "Next" in the second dialog
5. In the third dialog you're asked to enter both the WoodWing serial number and the authorization code. Please enter both exactly as mentioned:
- The serial number must be typed with a space between each "word" or with the dashes between each number (if available).
- The authorization code must include the different cases (upper and lower) and the dashes (if available).
- Do not enter extra spaces before or after the serial number or authorization code.
6. Click "Next" and the plug-in should be authorized now.
Note: It is sometimes needed to restart your InDesign or InCopy application after authorizing your plug-in.
